Micromax A116 Canvas 5-inch HD display with 1.2 GHz quad-core processor announced

Micromax has the announced launch of its new smartphone-A116 Canvas HD, today. It features a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Micromax recently launched the dual-core processor powered gadgets like A110 Superfone Canvas 2 and the A90S Superfone Pixel last year. But this A116 Canvas HD is the first smartphone with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor of Micromax. The device  also has the inbuilt Hookup Instant messaging app. It can also play HD quality videos. The phone sports a 1 GB RAM and has an internal memory of 4 GB that can be expandable up to 32 GB with a micro SD card.

The phone has a 8 megapixel rear camera and with LED Flash with various camera options like 4X zoom, night mode and also includes a VGA front-facing camera. The A116 Canvas HD is engineered with a 2100mAh battery.

Micromax A116 Canvas HD priced under RS 15000, will be available in India from Feb  2013 first week

The Micromax A116 Canvas HD will be available in the Indian market in the month of February 2013. This new gadget is expected to be available at the price tag of below Rs 15,000.
